The five surviving nuns had done everything to collect money for the funeral of the 52 nuns: founding a firm, selling greeting cards, and turning their belongings into money - but the money gained enough for the burial of 48 sisters only. So the survivors decide to organize a charity concert. They perform extracts from Grease, and the “Sister Act” begins on the stage of Mount-Saint-Helen’s School.
During the gala night containing cheerful songs and witty scenes the audience can get to know the performers and comes to light that only the sisters’ dress are identical. All of them have different personality with different past, different dreams, and different desires.
Goggin’s kind and funny work received the 1986 Outer Critics' Circle Awards for Best Musical. In Hungary it was first played in Madách Theatre with Irén Psota in the main role.
